How to integrate Hospitable with PriceLabs

How to Integrate PriceLabs with Hospitable

About the Integration

When actively syncing with Hospitable, PriceLabs can send rates and minimum stay requirements to your listings for dates up to 540 days from today (up to 720 days on request. More on extending your pricing calendar see our article here).

Prerequisites

  1. Before integrating Hospitable with your PriceLabs account, you must first make sure Airbnb's Smart Pricing is turned off for all of your listings on Airbnb. If Smart Pricing is enabled, your PriceLabs rates will not appear on your Airbnb listing(s).
  2. On Hospitable, you must also set up a markup for each distribution channel for the PriceLabs sync to be successful. The markup you choose will depend on your particular Airbnb and Vrbo configuration and the way you want to differentiate the pricing for each distribution channel; you can enter a zero, positive, or negative number as your adjustment.
    1. To set your Markup go to 'Settings' --> click on 'Preferences' --> Click on 'Properties' and enter a value in the field for each channel.

After disabling Smart Pricing and setting up your markups you can follow these simple steps to integrate your Hospitable account with PriceLabs.

Instructions

Step 1: Obtain your Hospitable Client ID and Client Secret.
  1. Login to your Hospitable account and click Apps at the bottom-left corner.
  2. Scroll down and select API Access. Then, go to API keys (legacy) tab.
  3. Click on '+ Add new' to generate a new key with a Client ID and a Client Secret (if you don't already have one for PriceLabs).
  4. Make sure ✅Read Calendar and ✅Write Calendar boxes are ticked.

Step 2: Import your listings on PriceLabs
  1. From the Pricing Dashboard, click on "Add your listings" or "Add/Reconnect listings" button.
  2. Go to PMS/Channel Manager tab.
  3. Search for Hospitable from the dropdown.
  4. Enter your Client ID and Client Secret in the appropriate boxes.
  5. Click Connect

Voila! You should see your Hospitable listings on your PriceLabs dashboard. Check out our Getting Started Guide for some basics, or join one of our live trainings to learn about all of the available customizations.

When reviewing prices on your PriceLabs calendar the "Your current price" on your PriceLabs calendar will be from your Airbnb listing if your property is listed on both Airbnb and VRBO, If your property is listed only on VRBO "Your current price" will display that rate.

Unable to get your listing details from Hospitable error

If any property settings have been changed within Hospitable you may get this error. This is because, whenever there is any change in Hospitable, a new property ID gets created.
You will need to import the new property ID number into PriceLabs using the "Add your listings" button on your dashboard. Enter your client ID and secret as you did when first importing and you will see the new property appear on your dashboard. You can use this newly added listing to Sync and push prices to Hospitable and delete the older listing by following the steps mentioned Here

If you encounter this error while reviewing prices, you may see the below error-  on your dashboard.

Markup missing on Hospitable

When we send rates to Hospitable, we get an error from their side that says a markup was not set. This is a necessary condition from Hospitable's side for a sync to be successful.

Here are some details on a how to set your markups in Hospitable:
  1. For each distribution channel (Airbnb, Homeaway/VRBO) a mark-up must be set-up in Hospitable for PriceLabs to sync prices. The mark-up you choose will depend on your particular Airbnb and HomeAway configuration and the way you want to differentiate the pricing for each distribution channel
  2. You can enter a zero, positive, or negative number as your adjustment.
  3. To set your markups go to Properties --> Settings and enter a value in the field for each channel.

Lat/Long errors in Hospitable listings

If you are seeing location errors in PriceLabs after importing your Hospitable listings the likely cause is a missing lat/long for your HomeAway/VRBO listing. To resolve this you'll need to create a dummy reservation in HomeAway, sync your listing to Hospitable and then use the "Add your listings" button on PriceLabs to import the new location information created by the reservation.

To manually create a reservation in HomeAway/VRBO go to Calendars and then click on Reservation and enter the details for your imaginary stay. Once you've synced and re-imported your listing to Hospitable and PriceLabs you can go back to HomeAway and remove the reservation.

Please be sure to reimport your Hospitable listing(s) to PriceLabs after creating the dummy reservation(s). If you have multiple listings that are seeing this error, each listing will need its own dummy reservation.
