How to Integrate PriceLabs with Octorate

PriceLabs can send daily rates, minimum stay requirements, and check-in/check-out restrictions to Octorate for both single and multi-unit listings for up to 540 days in advance.

Before You Start

PriceLabs does not import derived room types from Octorate. If you need PriceLabs to update prices for these room types (which are not classified as rate plans), they must be set as parent room types instead of derived ones.

Step 1: Connecting Octorate to PriceLabs via OAuth

1. Log into PriceLabs.
2. Click "Add your listings" (if you have no listings) or "Add/Reconnect Listings" (if you already have listings).
3. Select "PMS / Channel Manager" and choose "Octorate" from the dropdown.
   
   
   
   
4. Click "Connect with Octorate" and you will be redirected to Octorate's website to authorize PriceLabs to pull your properties. Click "Allow" to confirm.
   
5. Once connected, your Octorate listings will appear in your PriceLabs dashboard.
   

Step 2: Reviewing & Syncing Prices

1. Follow the Getting Started guide to set up your listings.
2. Review your pricing and settings in PriceLabs.
3. Enable Sync Prices for automatic updates, or click "Sync Now" to push updates immediately.
4. Check your Octorate account to verify updates
   
1. Your PriceLabs rates and minimum stay requirements will appear on the Octorate Calendar under Standard view
   
   
   
   

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Issue: Unable to Import Error

Error: We’re unable to import your properties because your Master Account ID does not match. Please contact the Octorate Support Team via email or chat and request them to update your Master Account ID. For further assistance, feel free to reach out to us at support@pricelabs.co.

If you receive the error above while trying to connect your Octorate account, reach out to Octorate support via Chat on your Octorate account to get your Master Account ID updated. Once this is done, you can try to connect their Octorate account to PriceLabs and it should get through.

Issue: Octorate Location Errors

If you're experiencing issues setting your listing location or encountering lat-long errors on your PriceLabs dashboard, re-set your listing location in Octorate as shown below:

Once done, reconnect your Octorate account to PriceLabs using the steps above.

Issue: Prices are not getting updates.

Possible Cause: Check your listing as PriceLabs does not import derived room types from Octorate. 

Steps: 

1. Go to Apartments=>Manage rates
   
2. To make a derived room type a parent one, click on the pencil.
   
3. Then in Manage rates screen, scroll down to 'Based on', open the dropdown and select 'Do not derive' and click on Save.
