How to Integrate PriceLabs with Channex

When successfully syncing, PriceLabs can send dynamic rates, minimum stays and check-in/check-out restrictions to Channex listings for 540 days from today (see our article here on extending your pricing calendar beyond one year).

Creating an API Key in Channex

This feature is not available for all Users by default in Channex, to enable it you will need to have an active subscription. If you have just subscribed to Channex and it does not show try refresh browser or logout and back in.

Log on to your Channex account. In the User Profile you will see a section: API Keys.

Click on "Create new API Key" , fill the API Key name and press Create to generate a new API Key.

Enter the title for the key and click on "Access to all Properties" checkbox, as shown below, if you wish to connect all your Channex properties with PriceLabs.

If you wish to connect only a few selected properties with PriceLabs, then, while creating the key, deselect the checkbox for "Access to all Properties".

You may then select the specific properties you wish to connect to PriceLabs and then click Create. If you do this, PriceLabs will only be allowed to access the selected properties via Channex APIs.

After that, you should see this next message:

Please, copy the API Key and keep it in a safe place. The API Key will only be shown once. If you lose the API Key, you can generate a new one.

Importing your Channex listings in PriceLabs

In order to connect your PriceLabs account to your Channex account, log in to your PriceLabs account, click on the " Add your listings" button on your PriceLabs dashboard, select 'Channex' from the drop-down menu:

Paste the API key from Channex in the given text box and click on "Connect". 

Your Channex room types will now be imported as listings in PriceLabs. You may now proceed to review prices for these listings in PriceLabs.

Rate Plan Offset Adjustments

We can update all the Parent rate plans in Channex for a given room type. Please note that we need to have a default rate plan for your Channex listings. A default rate plan is the one for which you will see prices in your PriceLabs calendar for a given listing. If you want to view the calendar for any other rate plan, you can change the default and view the same. The first time a listing is imported, we will select the first-rate plan as the default rate plan.

You can always go to the "Rate Plan Customization" screen to change the default rate plan of your choice. To review your default rate plan and to specify an offset, head over to the “Edit" on the Rate Plan Customization link in PriceLabs.

Refer below screen, where you can select a different default rate plan. You can also specify the adjustment as a fixed amount or a percentage amount to be applied to the rate plans. It has 3 options in the 'Update Type': the "Price and Restrictions" updates both Price and restrictions to the rate plan, the "Price" updates only the daily price, and the "None" skips that rate plan entirely.
