How Does Percentage Billing Work?
If you have opted for the percentage billing plan, then the cost of the subscription depends on the reservations you have received at your property/properties during the billing period.
For every billing cycle, based on the stay details shared by your channel or Property Management System, we charge 1% of the amount charged for the stay. The reservation/booking dates, i.e. the day when your property was booked or reserved by a guest can fall outside the current month’s billing cycle. However, as long as the check-in at one or more of your properties happens during the current billing cycle, the particular check-in will be taken into consideration while calculating your invoice amount.
How To Opt For Percentage Billing
By default, all users are on the fixed billing plan. You can opt for the percentage billing plan by writing to us at
support@pricelabs.co indicating your interest.
- If you are opting for this switch during your trial, then your subscription will start in the percentage billing plan from the first billing cycle.
- If you are currently paying via the fixed billing plan and want to switch to the percentage billing plan, then the change will be reflected in the next billing cycle.
Important Notes:
- Invoices include bookings that were received before activating PriceLabs, as long as the stay date falls within the billing cycle.
- The start date of the reservation decides if a particular reservation is considered in a particular billing cycle. For example - if the billing cycle is from Jan 01 to Jan 31 and the reservation is from 30 Jan to 02 Feb, then the reservation will be considered in the January billing cycle.
- Reservation details are available in CSV file attached to the invoice.
- Switching to the Percentage Plan requires a 1-year commitment. After switching, you cannot revert to the Flat Fee Plan until the 1-year period is completed. This commitment applies only to the billing plan and does not restrict your ability to cancel or pause your subscription.
- Currency and Payment Method
- Charges and invoices are generated in USD. Our invoicing happens in USD only. In case your reservations are made in a currency other than USD, then we apply a conversion rate as of the invoice date.
- For users in Brazil, charges are processed in BRL.
- In the EU and other regions where debit cards lack CVV, only credit cards can be used for payments.
- In case you have listings imported from multiple property management systems/channel managers, we recommend mapping these listings together to ensure the same reservation is not counted twice during billing.
- If you opt for a percentage billing plan, you will be continuing on the same plan throughout. Any requests to switch back to fixed billing will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Terms Used in Percentage Billing
- Billing cycle: Your first billing cycle will start at the end of the free trial and subsequent cycles will start and end around the same time each month. So, if your trial ends on January 22nd, your first billing cycle will run from January 23rd through February 22nd, and you'll see an invoice from us on the 22nd of each month thereafter.
- Due date: We charge at the end of your monthly billing cycle. You will get an invoice on the last day of your billing cycle and the payment method on account is charged 2 days later.
- Contract length: The billing is month to month and you can cancel at any time. The final charges for the current month will be charged to you at the end of the billing month.
Additional Charges (Optional)
Customer API
If you have opted to use our customer API then we will charge you an additional $1 per listing that is syncing in the current billing cycle. This includes parent, child and multi-unit listings.
Additional sync
If you want your properties to sync more than once in 24 hours, you can choose to use our additional sync feature. For each additional sync, we charge an additional $1 per listing per additional sync. Note that if you have a multi-unit setup, you'd be charged $1 for each multi-unit.
